Description/History:
The Church of St Mary of the Assumption Anglican, Froyle. Historical Note: The church was built early in the 14th Century and there certainly was a church on the site prior to that date as it is known that Froyle had a vicar in 1274. The only remaining part of the original 14th Century church is the Chancel. The original steeple was demolished in 1722 and the present tower built. Then in 1812 the nave was demolished and rebuilt.Records:
Parish Registers date from 1653.
